UPDATE as of June 22: On June 22, MDHHS lifted venue capacity restrictions and mask mandates in Michigan. Flint Institute of Music and our venues are following this guidance. Select shows at The Capitol Theatre may require that patrons wear masks at the request of the touring company. To adhere to their national safety policies for performing artists, Flint Institute of Music will enforce mask-wearing for select performances as required and will notify you in advance.
Under current restrictions in the Michigan Safe Start reopening plan, we will open with greatly reduced seating capacity. Purchasing online in advance is the best way to ensure you have seat as we welcome you back to The Capitol Theatre.
The health and safety of our audiences and artists are of the utmost importance to us. Our Reopening Plan follows the guidance of State of Michigan officials, MIOSHA, OSHA, and the CDC for workplace and performance venue safety.

COVID-19 LIABILITY AND WAIVER
It is the policy of the Flint Institute of Music’s (FIM) and the Flint Cultural Center Corporation (FCCC), that for the safety of its staff and patrons, masks are required to be worn when entering a building for business or for sponsored or managed events and performances (Includes Flint Symphony Orchestra, Flint School of Performing Arts, Flint Repertory Theatre, MacArthur Recital Hall, Whiting Auditorium, Capitol Theatre). However, attendance may increase your risk of contracting an illness such as COVID-19. As such, your attendance is an acknowledgment of that risk and an agreement to release FIM or FCCC of any liability should you or anyone in your party be diagnosed with an illness. Please remember that masks area legal requirement and must be worn. Please do not attend the event should you be or have recently been sick.
